Meanwhile, Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke's Red Riding Hood (which was discussed here for its Twilight similarities) has gotten a new trailer (attached), and a few new stills from the movie were unveiled by USA Today. This is Hardwicke's first movie since Twilight, but it's done well to garner a lot of attention. Good on her. She is certainly talented and has a unique vision for things, as we saw with the romantic and enchanting way that she interpreted Twilight. Note that Nancy Richardson, who edited Twilight and was brought back around for second edits on Eclipse, is the editor for Red Riding Hood. The new trailer is much more fast paced and arty than the first. It definitely sets a different mood for the film than did the prior trailer. Much more exciting. And Billy Burke ("Charlie Swan" from the Twilight series) is in it. So there's that, too. Red Riding Hood opens March 11th.
